Open with license plate recognition
You can open the gate by driving up to it. The camera reads your license plate and opens the gate automatically.

Before you begin
- The garage must have a license plate recognition camera.
- You must have turned on gate opening with license plate recognition in the Parqio app.
- You must have added at least one car to your profile in the Parqio app.
Remember that you can also use camera-free automatic opening instead of license plate recognition.
How to do it
- Drive up to the gate.
- Wait while the camera reads your license plate and the gate opens.
Is the gate not opening with license plate recognition?
- Check that you have an active Parqio subscription. Go to “Settings” > “License plate recognition” in the Parqio app.
- Make sure your license plate is clean enough for the camera to read. In some cases, payment stickers can stop the plate from being read correctly.
- Check that you have added a car to your profile.
- If you have recently changed your payment card, license plate recognition may be temporarily turned off. As soon as we have successfully charged the new card, it will work normally again. In the meantime, you can open the gate with the Parqio app or call the gate number, +47 23 50 68 88.
