What is automatic opening?

Two types of automatic opening

With license plate recognition
This option uses a camera to read your car's license plate. To use it, the garage must have a license plate recognition camera, and you must add your registration number to your profile in the Parqio app.

Camera-free automatic opening
This option also works at gates without a camera. Parqio uses your phone's location and speed to work out when the gate should open. That is why the gate can start opening before you reach it.

You need to turn the feature on in the app and give it the permissions it needs on your phone.

A Premium feature

Automatic opening is a Premium feature. You can try it for free before you decide whether to subscribe in the app. The subscription covers both types of automatic opening.

Some housing companies have a fleet agreement that covers camera-free automatic opening. In that case, the feature is included for their users.
